Dr. Randy G. Jones
Dr. Jones is a graduate of NC State University. He received a BS in Animal Science in 1981 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. Dr. Jones practiced in Kinston at Riverbank Animal Hospital from 1985 to 1995. Livestock Veterinary Services was started in 1996. Dr. Jones is a member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, and American Veterinary Medical Association. He is Past-President Elect of the AASV. He is married to Beth Jones and they have two children. Dr. Jones completed the Executive Veterinarian Certificate program at the University of Illinois in 2008.
Dr. Brad Heins
Dr. Heins graduated from the University of Georgia. He received a BS in Animal Science in 2007 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Following veterinary school, he enrolled in a graduate program and received a Master's of Food Animal Medicine degree from UGA in 2012. He is a member of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and the American Association of Swine Practitioners. He and his wife Beth have a set of twin children.
Dr. Robert C. Sexton
Dr. Sexton graduated from Mississippi State University. He received a BS in Animal Science in 2000 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Sexton has worked at Livestock Veterinary Services since 2003. He is a member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, and American Veterinary Medical Association. He has three children.
Beth is a 1983 graduate of Campbell University with a degree in Biology. Her previous work includes NC Park Service, Hyde County Health Department, and Lenoir County Health Department. Beth has been the business manager for Livestock Veterinary Services since 1996. She has been active in Cub Scouts, NC Junior Angus, and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She is married to Dr. Randy Jones and they have two children.
Angela is the new administrative assistant at LVS. Angela was born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina. She recently relocated to the area from Southwestern Virginia. She graduated from Kings Business College in 1991. Her previous background includes working for the past 22 years on a farm maintaining records for the largest herd of Texas Longhorns east of the Mississippi. She has been employed for the past 14 years with a mobile veterinary practice that specialized in bovine herd health as well as equine and small ruminants. She enjoys riding and showing her horses.
Jennifer has been with Livestock Veterinary Services almost from the beginning. She worked with Dr. Jones at Riverbank Animal Hospital before coming to work for him in 1996. Some of her duties consist of receiving and preparing diagnostic samples for shipment to outside labs, oral vaccine production, and restocking supplies for the lab. Jennifer is married with two children.
